The organizations listed below are looking for AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) Members to serve for the upcoming year. VISTAs serve non-profits in a capacity-building role. VISTAs help with grant writing, marketing strategies, social media management, and more but do not engage in direct service work. Crime Victims Center – St. Louis, MO
Kerengende Foundation – Belleville, IL
The Development VISTA will improve Kerengende Foundations’ overall fundraising efforts by researching, identifying, and preparing grants, creating partnerships with individual and corporate donors, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, developing and implementing a marketing strategy, including social media, monthly newsletters, and eblast content. The VISTA will also increase data management and reporting efforts through research, development, and implementation of policies and processes to improve efficiency.
ALIVE – St. Louis, MO
ALIVE’s mission is to provide counseling, emergency sanctuary and other critical services to adults and children impacted by domestic abuse, as well as to increase awareness in order to create a supportive community.
The Development VISTA will improve ALIVE’s overall fundraising efforts by researching, identifying, and preparing grants, creating partnerships with individual and corporate donors, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, developing and implementing a marketing strategy, including social media, monthly newsletters, and eblast content. The VISTA will also increase data management and reporting efforts through research, development, and implementation of policies and processes to improve efficiency.

This position will report to the President.
Healing Action – St. Louis, MO
Healing Action is currently looking for three VISTA members to support them in their work.
The Grants and Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will build the capacity of Healing Action by identifying, research and prepare proposals for good match potential funders in order to expand direct services to victims and survivors of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. The VISTA will also revamp Healing Action’s volunteer program by recruiting and managing volunteers to serve these individuals.
The Program Evaluation and Database Management VISTA will collect, organize, and evaluate relevant data to illustrate the successes and needs of Healing Action programs and allow for informed program decisions.
The Program and Implementation Support VISTA will build Healing Action’s capacity by supporting the needs of the direct service staff to allow them to focus on providing care to survivors of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
