The attention on the Florida massage parlor raid has given advocates and victim response organizations an opportunity to enlighten the public pertaining the prevalence of sex trafficking within the United States. Due to the clandestine nature of human trafficking it difficult to know the exact number of individuals being trafficked. Healing Action and the Coalition Against Trafficking and Exploitation hope recent events in Florida will help people begin to realize the pervasiveness of this crime.
